Azerbaijani referees will not participate in the qualifying round matches of the 3x3 basketball World Championship among men and women, which will be held in Baku on May 24-25.
Idman.biz reports that Elkabar Hasanov, chairman of the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Basketball League, told Report about this.
He stated that two referees from our country previously had a 3x3 basketball license: "Ruslan Khaligov and I had a license. We received it during the European Games held in Baku in 2015. We simply did not apply for a new license because there were no appointments for 5-6 years. The representatives of justice who will come to the capital will be known a week before the start of the competition."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani women's national team will face Canada and Great Britain in Group B, and the men's team will face Latvia and Egypt.
