Today, the next stage of the Women's World Series in 3x3 basketball has started in Sumgayit.
Idman.biz reports that 16 teams are competing in the competition, which will last for 2 days.
12 of them are national teams - Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, China, Benin, France, Great Britain, Latvia, and 4 are clubs - "Karolina" (Puerto Rico), "Beijing" (China), "Takasaki" (Japan), "CS Rapid" (Romania).
The Azerbaijan national team tested its strength in Group A together with the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our team faced the Czechs in the first game. Our basketball players won with a score of 20:12.
In the second game held today, our team defeated Slovakia with a score of 21:8. Thanks to this victory, our basketball players qualified for the 1/4 finals as group leaders.
