Dutch specialist Mark van Bommel has become the new head coach of the Belgium national team.
Sport.News reports that the press service of the Belgian Royal Football Federation has announced this.
The contract is for two years and is valid until Euro 2028. Van Bommel's coaching staff includes Boudewijn Zenden, Maarten Martens, and Reinier Robbemond. Zenden played for "Chelsea" and "Liverpool" and was a teammate of the new Belgian coach in the Netherlands national team.
Current head coach Erik Gerrets will leave his post when his contract expires on July 31.
