The drawing ceremony of the European Judo Hope Tournament was held on July 24.
Idman.Biz reports that the event was attended by Sergey Oleynik, the chief sports commissioner of the European Judo Union, Natiq Bağırov, an adviser to the president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Kodokan expert, two-time Olympic medalist, three-time world champion Misato Nakamura and Olympic medalist Mariya Centracchio.
Note that in the international competition, 289 athletes (245 boys, 44 girls) from 81 clubs representing 10 countries will compete. The tournament, held in the U-14 and U-16 age categories, will determine the medalists in 30 weight categories.
