Possible relations between the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF) and the Turkish club "Nasıbe Aydın" are important for the development of women's basketball in Azerbaijan.
Idman.biz reports with reference to Report.az that this was stated by Farrukh Mahmudov, Executive Vice President of ABF, in his statement.
He emphasized that the meeting was very good: "First of all, I would like to note that our meeting with the president of the brotherly Turkish representative "Nasıbe Aydın" club and other club representatives was very good. Turkey's successful experience in women's basketball is a valuable example for us. Possible relations that can be established with the "Nasıbe Aydın" club in the future are important for the development of women's basketball in Azerbaijan".
The Executive Vice President said that the goals were informed to the other side: "During the meeting, we told the other side that we aim to provide our women basketball players of different age groups with international game experience and higher training opportunities. By evaluating proposals mutually, we want to increase the competitiveness of women's basketball at the regional level. Experience exchange, training programs and international tournaments are very important for our girls, and we consider all initiatives in this area as real plans aimed at the future".
It should be noted that a meeting was held in Baku between the president of ABF, Emin Amrullayev, and officials of the institution, and Mirkan Aydin, the president of "Nasıbe Aydın", one of the well-known women's basketball clubs in Turkey, and representatives of this club.
