The autonomous republic wrestling championship among teenagers dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Nakhchivan city.
Idman.Biz reports that 70 athletes competed in 10 weight categories in the competition held by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The award ceremony of the tournament was held on May 8 at the Ilham Aliyev Olympic Sports Complex. Majid Seyidov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Acting Minister, awarded the winners of the first three places with diplomas and medals.
According to the results, Jahangir Ahmadov (45 kg), Aljafar Musayev (48 kg), Alakbar Asgarov (51 kg), Majnun Abbasov (55 kg), Muhammad Humbatov (60 kg), Togrul Alili (65 kg), Huseyn Rajabli (71 kg), Ruzgar Hajiyev (80 kg), Huseyn Aliyev (92 kg) and Jabrayil Ahmadov (110 kg) became the first in their respective weight categories.
