Our national freestyle wrestling team, the winner of the U-15 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy, has returned to their homeland.
İdman.biz reports that the wrestlers were met at the airport by officials of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, family members, relatives, and media representatives.
Our national team finished the competition with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Our team, which scored 131 points, left behind the Armenian (125) and Georgian (99) teams.
It should be noted that our team became European champion for the 3rd time in its history. Our Greco-Roman wrestling team achieved the same success in 2022 and 2024.
