The U-19 European Boxing Championship is ongoing in Loznica, Serbia. Sport24.az reports that on the third day of the competition, two more Azerbaijani athletes won tickets to the 1/4 finals.
Ali Aliyev (50 kg) met Adrian Zamecnik (Slovakia) in his second fight. Our boxer, who won all three rounds, won with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27). He will face Kristian Jubani (Ireland) in the quarterfinals on August 18.
Banuchichek Nasirli (48 kg) tested her strength in the first fight of the European Championship against Angeliki Petroula Sduga (Greece). Our boxer won with a complete advantage in the third round. The representative will face Katarzyna Gornisiewicz (Poland), who is free from the first round, in the quarterfinals. The meeting will take place on August 17.
Note that earlier, Guler Huseynova (51 kg) had already won a ticket to the quarterfinals.
