The World Championship among wrestlers under 20 has started in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
İdman.Biz reports that on the first day of the competition, four members of Azerbaijan's Greco-Roman wrestling team entered the mat.
Cavidan Nəhmətov, who competed in the 77 kg weight category, showed the most successful result. The Azerbaijani representative passed the 1/4 final stage and reached the semifinals.
Tural Əhmədov (63 kg) stopped competing in the 1/4 finals. Orxan Hacıyev (87 kg) and Mikayıl İsmayılov (130 kg) lost in their first matches.
The U-20 World Championship in Bratislava will continue until August 23.
