Azerbaijani wrestler Simura Abdullayeva has reached the final of the U-15 European Championship held in Caorle, Italy.
According to "Report", the competition in women's wrestling started on the second day of the continental championship.
Ulviyya Musayeva (33 kg) defeated Romanian Maria Pavel with a score of 8:2, but lost to Romanian Yoana Gavrila with a score of 0:10 in the 1/4 finals.
Gulaya Khasmammadova (36 kg) defeated Romanian Ariana Harsana with a score of 15:8, but lost to Turkish Shirin Askara by a "fall" in the 1/4 finals.
Leyla Asgarova (39 kg), who joined the competition from the 1/4 finals, defeated Hungarian Eliza Bodi by a "fall" and advanced to the semi-finals. However, one step away from the final, she lost to Russian Darya Maslennikova with a score of 3:8 and will wrestle for the bronze medal tomorrow.
Yagmur Malikli (42 kg) lost to Belarusian Anastasia Niakliayeva in the 1/8 finals, and Gulnar Agadadashova, who competed in the same weight category, lost to Ukrainian Ivanna Maydanskaya by a "fall" in the same stage. Gulnar will have a consolation match tomorrow.
