Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler has won a silver medal at the World Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
"Report" informs that Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg), who reached the final of the World Championship for the second time, faced Iranian Olympic champion Saeed Esmaeili in the decisive match.
Our wrestler, who lost to his opponent with a minimal difference (1:2), won a silver medal at the World Championship again. This is his 3rd medal (2 silver, 1 bronze) at the World Championships among adults.
Thus, the number of medals of our Greco-Roman wrestlers at the World Championships has reached 4.
It should be noted that this is the 8th medal of Azerbaijani wrestlers at the World Championship. Earlier, Ulvi Ganizade (72 kg) won the title of world champion. Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) won silver, Eldaniz Azizli (55 kg), Nuraddin Novruzov (61 kg), Arseniy Djioyev (86 kg), Osman Nurmagomedov (92 kg) and Murad Ahmadiev (92 kg) won bronze medals.
