For the Russian women's team at the III CIS Games, Azerbaijan was a very strong opponent.
This was stated by team member Yekaterina Drozdova in an interview with "Report"'s correspondent in Gabala.
She emphasized that they were happy to have defeated the Azerbaijani team in the final of the team competition:
"We planned to win. It is gratifying that we were able to achieve what we wanted. I am proud of it. The Azerbaijani team is a strong opponent. I thank my coaches. We showed team spirit and won."
It should be noted that the table tennis competitions will end on October 29.
