Four-time "Grand Slam" champion and world number two, Italian tennis player Yannik Sinner has explained why he will not play for the Italian team in the Davis Cup final.
According to Idman.Biz, Sinner explained this by saying that he needed rest.
"I have already won the Davis Cup twice. We made this decision with my team because the season is very long and I need an extra week of rest to start training sooner. The goal is to return to Australia in shape. I haven't reached the maximum goal in the last two years due to time constraints, so we made this decision," Ubitennis quoted Sinner as saying.
The Italian national team is the current Davis Cup champion, and Sinner made a significant contribution to this achievement.
