World number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus has qualified for the final of the tournament held in Miami. She defeated Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, the world number two, 6-4, 6-3 in the semi-finals.
Idman.Biz reports that the match lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. During this time, Sabalenka had nine aces and converted four of eight break points. Her opponent had two aces, one double fault and two of two break points converted.
In the final of the tournament, Sabalenka will face American Cori Gauff.
The Miami tournament is held from March 17-28. The total prize pool of the competition is $9.4 million (16 million AZN). The current winner of the tournament is Aryna Sabalenka, who defeated American Jessica Pegula in the final of last year's competition.
