Former world number one Novak Djokovic has revealed why he continues to play tennis.
Idman.biz reports that Djokovic is a 24-time Grand Slam winner.
"Excluding the matches I lost to the two best players in the world, I think I played very well in the Grand Slam tournaments. This says a lot about my level and stability, and of course I am happy about it. But inside me there is always a winner who wants to be the best. I have had very good moments in my 20-year sports career.
Yes, it is frustrating to lose big matches to the strongest players in the world, but that doesn't stop me. I don't just play tennis for awards. There are other reasons why I continue. One of them is the love and support I receive from all over the world. I hope that my participation in major tournaments will help the development of tennis as a sport. This motivates me. I am impressed every time I go to the court and hear my name being announced. It's a great feeling," said the tennis player.
