Nihad Mammadov, a member of the Azerbaijani national table tennis team, has made a successful attempt to break the world record.
Idman.Biz reports that our athlete showed a result of 17 meters in putting the ball into play from a long distance at an event held at the "Shua" Sports Complex. The process was supervised by officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation (ASTF), and international referee Zaur Mikayilov.
The mentioned result was sent by ASTF to the head office of the relevant institution. The answer regarding the official confirmation of the record is expected to arrive within 1-2 months.
It should be reminded that the previous record for this indicator belonged to Turkish Osman Gurcu with a result of 16.70 meters.
