Tennis legend Boris Becker has decided to dispel rumors that he cheated on his ex-wife Barbara Feltus while she was carrying their son.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, in the latest episode of Louis Theroux's podcast, Becker admitted to cheating on Barbara, which ultimately led to divorce and subsequent marriages to Sharlely Kerssenberg and his current wife, Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro.
"She was in the hospital, but there were no contractions yet. We separated and I cheated - that's a fact. But we were able to build a relationship based on respect. She is a wonderful mother to our two sons."
Becker added that he and Barbara went through difficult times after the divorce, but they were able to maintain close family relationships and now, 25 years later, they still consider themselves "close family."
The interview also discussed his recent prison history. Becker served time for concealing assets and loans to avoid debt. He was released after eight months of a 30-month prison sentence and deported to Germany.
The tennis player also spoke about the famous parties organized by former rapper Diddy, which he sometimes accidentally stumbled upon.
"If you live in Miami and get an invitation for the weekend, you have a choice - say "yes" or "no." No one talked about what happened, but you can imagine everything that happened. I've never been a fan of these long events," Becker confessed.
Becker currently lives in Milan with his wife Lilian and their newborn daughter, Zoe Vittoria, who was born in November.
"Now I'm grateful for this experience. It was hell at the time, but now I appreciate freedom and a new beginning," Becker said.
