The "Baku Open" table tennis tournament has started.
"Report" reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation that amateur and veteran table tennis players mainly demonstrate their skills in the competition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the International Table Tennis Federation and the selection of Baku as the "World Sports Capital" in 2026.
Professional athletes will compete only in doubles competitions (one professional and one amateur) at the tournament held at the "Shua Sports Complex".
The prize fund of the competition, which will be held on April 4-5 and 11-12, will be 3,000 manats.
It should be noted that the tournament also aims to increase the mass character and popularity of table tennis.
