The "Davis Cup" tennis tournament has started in Tirana, the capital of Albania. Sport24.az reports that Tamerlan Azizov, Kenan Gasimov, and Elvin Hashimov represent our country in this competition.
The first day of the competition was successful for our tennis players. Our representatives defeated the athletes from Andorra. Tamerlan Azizov defeated his opponent Eric Servos Noguer 2:0 (6:1, 6:3). Kenan Gasimov also won in the match against Damien Gelabert – 2:0 (6:1, 6:0).
Our tennis players also emerged victorious from the doubles match. The pair Tamerlan Azizov - Kenan Gasimov was superior to the duo Servos Noguer - Damien Gelabert - 2:0 (6:2, 6:4)
