Azerbaijani table tennis players have been awarded a silver medal at the Turkic-Speaking Countries Universiade.
According to "Report", table tennis players Zemfira Mikayilova and Laman Abulhamidova won a silver medal at the Turkic-Speaking Countries Universiade held in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan.
The Mikayilova-Abdulhamidova tandem, which defeated Kyrgyz athletes 3-0 and Kazakh representatives 3-1 in team competitions, lost to their Turkish rivals 1-3 in the final and took second place.
It should be noted that the third Universiade will end on September 9.
