Russian tennis player of Azerbaijani origin, Anastasiya Hasanova, commented on the issue of the possibility of changing her citizenship.
İdman.Biz reports with reference to the Russian media that the 26-year-old famous tennis player said that her connection with Azerbaijan is mostly related to family roots.
A. Hasanova said that her father and grandfather are Azerbaijanis.
The tennis player said that the Azerbaijani diaspora contacted her some time ago. However, this appeal was not related to changing citizenship. Hasanova was told that they are ready to provide her with all kinds of support if the need arises.
In addition, the Azerbaijan Tennis Federation also contacted her at one time. However, cooperation did not take place because the parties could not reach a common denominator.
Anastasiya Hasanova emphasized that she currently sees no options for herself to change her citizenship.
