American tennis player Arthur Lind and Australian Henry Young faced each other in a match between the oldest players in tennis history.
Idman.Biz reports that the press service of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) has released information about this.
They set a new record in terms of the age of the match participants.
102-year-old Young and 97-year-old Lind faced each other in the 1/4 final game of the "90+" age category of the ITF World Championships held in Bol, Croatia. The younger tennis player, Arthur Lind, won the match with a score of 6:1, 6:2.
It should be noted that in 2023, Henry Young became the first tennis player to perform at the age of 100 on the ITF World Tour. He participated in a singles tournament held in Mallorca at that time.
