The international badminton tournament "Azerbaijan International 2026" held in Baku has come to an end.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation, the winners in five categories were determined on the final day of the "International Challenge" category competition, which was attended by 347 athletes from 33 countries.
In the men's singles competition of the tournament held at the Sports Palace of the Azerbaijan Technical University, Dominik Kwinta from Poland, and in the women's competition, Devika Sihag from India, won gold medals, surpassing all their rivals.
In the men's doubles competition, the tandem of Alex Green and Zach Russ, representing England, rose to the highest step of the podium.
In the women's doubles competition, the Japanese duo Miku Sugiyama and Natsumi Takasaki became the winners of the tournament.
In the mixed doubles category, Indian athletes Satvik Reddy Kanapuram and Radhika Sharma were awarded the main prize.
In the end, the winners and finalists were awarded medals, as well as cash prizes. The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and the President of the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation Taleh Ziyadov.
