A traditional hike to the Heydar Aliyev Peak, located in the Greater Caucasus Mountains, was organized on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
İdman.Biz reports that the event was organized by the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The participants of the hike climbed the Heydar Aliyev Peak, located near the village of Khinalig in the Guba region, on the Qizilgaya ridge, which is 3751 meters above sea level.
Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Customs Committee, and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, as well as members of the Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation, participated in the hike.
The main purpose of the hike is to commemorate the dear memory of the National Leader, contribute to the development of mountaineering sports, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The participants of the event raised the Azerbaijani flag at the summit and respectfully commemorated Heydar Aliyev.
