London's Tottenham club has denied American rapper and producer Kanye West the opportunity to perform at its stadium.
According to Idman.Biz, citing the Daily Mail, the reason for this decision was the artist's antisemitic statements and the club's historical ties to the Jewish community.
Instead, the rapper was invited to perform at the Wireless Festival. This decision has faced severe criticism and has caused two major sponsors to withdraw from the event.
Pepsi announced that it was withdrawing its sponsorship in protest of Kanye West's headline performance at the festival. A few hours later, Diageo, the owner of Guinness, Johnnie Walker, and Captain Morgan, joined Pepsi.
British Prime Minister Kir Starmer commented on the situation, calling the festival's decision to invite Kanye West "deeply concerning." He noted that given the rapper's previous antisemitic statements, there is a possibility that he will be banned from entering the country.
