On November 21, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov held his 23rd meeting with representatives of sports federations.
Idman.Biz reports that before the meeting held in Gabala, the "Sports Capital" of 2025, the monument to National Leader Heydar Aliyev was visited and wreaths were laid in front of it.
At the event held at the Gabala Culture Center, Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov greeted the meeting participants and provided information about the work done recently and the tasks ahead.
The meeting discussed the results achieved at the III CIS Games held in Azerbaijan. Also, the issue of approval of standards for judo in sports schools was brought to attention, and a presentation was demonstrated on the Centralized Registry System. Issues of holding local and international competitions in the regions, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, were also discussed.
At the meeting, the calendar plan of the country's competitions for 2026 was presented on the "Tadbirvar" (tedbirvar.az) platform. Then information was given about the work to be done in preparation for the XXXIV Summer Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
After discussing issues related to the "Baku 2026 - World Sports Capital" project, the social media report of the federations was presented. The meeting continued with the discussion of other issues.
