The second day of the European Ski Mountaineering Championship concluded on March 5 at the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.
Idman.Biz reports that the results of the mixed relay race among junior and senior men and women have been announced.
Thus, among junior men and women, the 1st place was taken by Germany, the 2nd place by Spain, and the 3rd place by representatives of Russia.
In the competition held among senior men and women, the first place was taken by Switzerland, the second place by Italy, and the third place by German athletes.
Azerbaijan was represented in the mixed relay by Nazrin Garibova and Nabiyulla Galabaqiyev.
On March 6, athletes will compete in individual and vertical disciplines.
It should be noted that the European Championship is organized jointly by the International Ski Mountaineering Federation, the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation and the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.
In addition to Azerbaijan, a total of 124 athletes from Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Germany, Spain, Austria, Norway, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Greece, Andorra and Sweden are participating in the championship.
