Rauf Mammadov assesses his participation in the "Grenke Chess" tournament in Karlsruhe

Azerbaijani chess player Rauf Mammadov assessed his performance at the "Grenke Chess" international tournament held in Karlsruhe, Germany. The 36-year-old grandmaster told "Report" that he had a chance to be in the top 3 until the very last moment. "The last game was very tense. If I had won, I could have taken second place. But it was a draw. With 6.5 points, I shared 9-14th places. I think this is a normal result for such a competition. The entire chess elite was there, especially Magnus Carlsen. Unfortunately, I lost to him in the eighth game. Magnus won against everyone in this tournament. Although it was interesting, it was a very difficult competition.
