From June 27 to 30, the national road cycling championship will be held in Azerbaijan.
Idman.Biz reports that the results of the competition will be submitted to the International Cycling Union (UCI) and will be included in the rating calculations of national federations.
The championship will be held jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation. Individual races will take place in Baku, and group races will take place in the Khizi district.
On June 27 and 28, individual races will be held in the Khazar district, on the Dreamland-Turkan highway route (start at 09:00).
At the same time, at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Cycling Federation, amateur cyclists will also compete for the first time. Participants in the 35-49 and 50+ age categories will compete over a distance of 15 kilometers. These competitions will take place on June 28.
On June 29 and 30, group races will be held in the Khizi district. The country's champions will be determined at the end of the competition.
