The International Scientific Symposium "Sports in Urban Environment: Development of Physical Activity and Sports Opportunities" dedicated to the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture" was held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA).
Idman.Biz reports that the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan has released information about this.
It was reported that the purpose of the symposium was to increase physical activity in the urban environment, promote a healthy lifestyle, develop sports infrastructure, study the social and economic effects of sports in urbanization conditions, as well as exchange international experience in this direction.
At the opening ceremony, the rector of ASA, Fuad Hajiyev, spoke about the development of sports in the urban environment, the promotion of physical activity, and the importance of international scientific cooperation.
The symposium, in which representatives of foreign universities also made presentations, continued with panel sessions. Participants presented their scientific and practical approaches to the development of sports in the urban environment.
