According to the source, Lemieux was found by his eldest son around 3:00 AM in the family's furniture store. They were concerned because Lemieux had not returned home. He was found in the back warehouse.

Lemieux is one of only nine players to win the Stanley Cup with three different teams. He won the Cup with the Montreal Canadiens (1986), New Jersey Devils (1995, 2000), and Colorado Avalanche (1996). In 1995, the forward won the playoff MVP award.
With the Canadian team, Lemieux won the World Junior Championship in 1985, the Canada Cup (1987), and a silver medal at the World Cup (1996).
