Local athletes represent Azerbaijan at the Ski Mountaineering World Cup and European Championship held at the "Shahdag" Tourism Center.
According to the North Bureau of "Report", this was stated by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov in his statement to journalists.
He emphasized that local athletes are now in the forefront:
"Last year, the Grand Prix in figure skating among juniors was held in Baku, at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex. As in the previous year, this year our calendar is rich in competitions in winter sports. On March 14, the Freestyle Mogul World Cup will be held at the "Shahdag" tourism center. More than 100 athletes represent Azerbaijan in these competitions. We are pleased that local athletes, not those invited from other countries, now represent our country. The results are also quite good. Taking this opportunity, I express my gratitude to the Winter Sports Federation for the organization."
