Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, held the 25th meeting with representatives of sports federations.
Idman.Biz reports that at the event organized at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy, the minister welcomed the participants and provided information about the work done recently and the tasks ahead.
According to the agenda of the meeting, first, the report of the "Sports Week" organized between March 2-8 was presented, and information was provided about the competitions to be held in Gazakh city, the "Sports Capital" in 2026.
The preparation process for the Los Angeles-2028 Summer Olympic Games was also discussed. Presentations were heard on "The role of biomechanical analysis in improving performance and preventing injuries in athletes" and "Classification of athletes", as well as a report on "Work done in the regions during 2025" was presented.
Technical regulation issues, ensuring a safe environment in sports and safeguarding, quarterly reporting rules of sports federations, the presentation of the official website of Baku-2026 - "World Sports Capital", and social media reports of federations were also discussed at the event. Other issues were also discussed.
