The European Judo Championship will start today in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
QOL.az reports that five Azerbaijani judokas will start competing on the first day of the competition.
Ahmad Yusifov, Turan Bayramov (both 60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Gultaj Mammadaliyeva will step onto the tatami.
Judo competitions will start at 12:30 Baku time.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete in the European Championship both with individual athletes and in teams. A total of 15 judokas, 9 men and 6 women, will represent our country in 12 weight categories. The team will also participate in the mixed team competition.
