"Chelsea" continues its interest in Barcelona's midfielder Fermin Lopes and is preparing a new offer for the Spanish player's transfer.
Idman.Biz reports to El Nacional that the English club is ready to pay more than 100 million euros (approximately 197 million manats) for the 23‑year‑old player. The London side also tried last summer to bring Lopes into the squad, but an agreement was not reached.
"Chelsea" management highly values the Spanish midfielder’s versatility. In addition to playing in a defensive‑midfield role, Lopes can support the forwards and join attacks from deep positions.
Nevertheless, the large sum offered by the London club does not guarantee that the transfer will happen. Barcelona wants to keep the player in its squad. Lopes himself is also satisfied with his situation at the Catalan club and is not in a hurry to change teams.
It should be noted that the Transfermarkt portal values Fermin Lopes’s market value at 110 million euros. His contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2031.
