The XXI World Championship among men and the XII World Championship among women in fire and rescue sports are planned to be held in Azerbaijan in 2026.
According to "Report", this was announced by Alexander Chupriyan, President of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, at the XXVI International Conference of Heads of Fire and Rescue Services of Member Countries of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers in Baku.
He noted that the three-day conference to be held in Baku envisages the discussion of a wide range of issues and the performance of great work: "We will also visit the sports base where the next world championship in fire and rescue sports is planned to be held. Currently, the international federation is represented by 35 countries from three continents. The geography of the championships is expanding. We are still under the impression of Riyadh, where the last world championships among men and women were held, and we are already starting to talk about possible competitions that may be held in Azerbaijan next year."
