Taekwondo practitioner Ziya Hasanli (63 kg) has won Azerbaijan's first gold medal at the 3rd CIS Games.
Idman.biz reports that in the final of the taekwondo tournament held at the "Kur" Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, he defeated Russian representative Egor Lakiny and became the champion of the 3rd CIS Games.
This is the first gold medal for Azerbaijan in the Games it is hosting.

Today, within the framework of the 3rd CIS Games, medals are being contested in seven weight categories in taekwondo in Mingachevir.
Idman.biz reports that representatives of Azerbaijan have reached the finals in five of them.
Among the girls, Khumay Dadashova (up to 46 kg) and Maryam Mammadova (up to 53 kg) will compete for the gold medal. Among the boys, Ulvi Rahimzade (54 kg), Ziya Hasanli (63 kg) and Eljan Agayev (74 kg) will compete in the final.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan retains the chance to win a gold medal in several weight categories.
