340 athletes will represent Azerbaijan in 23 sports at the III CIS Games.
İdman.biz reports that the total number of the delegation will be 475 people.
The most Azerbaijani athletes will participate in judo and fencing - 32 people each. In taekwondo and volleyball, 28 athletes will compete.
Azerbaijani athletes will also compete in team sports: football, chovgan, volleyball and 3x3 basketball. In addition, in rhythmic gymnastics, our country will be represented by a group exercise team.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan, as the host country, will participate with two teams in a number of sports - judo, taekwondo, fencing, badminton and karate.
The III CIS Games will be held from September 28 to October 8 in 7 cities of Azerbaijan - Ganja, Gabala, Mingachevir, Goygol, Khankendi, Yevlakh and Shaki. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Games will be held at the Ganja city stadium.
