Within the framework of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, Vice-Presidents of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade, Farid Mansurov, and Secretary General of the NOC Azer Aliyev met with athletes representing our country in the Athletes' Village.
İdman.Biz reports that they got acquainted with the conditions created for athletes in the Athletes' Village.
During the meeting, Vice-President of the NOC Chingiz Huseynzade spoke about the IV Islamic Solidarity Games held in Baku in 2017 and recalled the successes achieved by Azerbaijani athletes in those competitions. He also touched upon the performances of our team in other Islamic Games and wished the athletes to continue the tradition and represent our country with dignity.
The athletes stated that they are preparing for the competitions at a high level and are mobilizing all their forces to wave the Azerbaijani flag with dignity.
The NOC leadership also met with athletes who won medals at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games and congratulated them on their victory.
