IOC did not discuss banning Israel from the 2026 Olympics

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Kirsty Coventry confirmed that the IOC Executive Committee did not discuss the conditions for banning Israel from the 2026 Olympic Games due to the ongoing military operations in the Gaza Strip. Sport24.az reports that the Olympics in Italy will be held from February 6 to 23, 2026.

 

The IOC Executive Committee meeting is currently taking place in Milan.

 

Coventry took office as IOC President on June 23.
