The European Athletics Association has announced the names of the best athletes of the year.
According to "Report", referring to the press service of the organization, the best athlete of the year is the Swedish Armand Duplantis, world champion and record holder in pole vaulting.
The award for the best female athlete of the year was given to the Dutch sprinter Femke Bol. The athlete became the world champion in the 400m hurdles in 2025. She also won a silver medal at the world championship in the 4x400m mixed relay.
The best young female athlete of the year was the Swiss Audrey Werro. This year, she won the title of world champion in the 800m race among athletes under 23 years old.
In the men's category, the same title was awarded to the European champion, Polish decathlete Hubert Trochanka.
