Closing Ceremony of the 3rd CIS Games Held in Ganja

The closing ceremony of the 3rd CIS Games is being held at the Ganja stadium.

Idman.biz reports that official guests, representatives of international sports organizations, athletes, and spectators are participating in the event.

It should be noted that 1,624 athletes and 2,337 representatives from 13 countries participated in the competition.

340 athletes represented Azerbaijan, 4 Pakistan, 262 Russia, 254 Uzbekistan, 240 Belarus, 147 Kazakhstan, 144 Tajikistan, 126 Kyrgyzstan, 48 Turkmenistan, 38 Turkey, 11 Cuba, 6 Kuwait, and 4 Oman in the tournament.

Russia became the winner of the 3rd CIS Games with 231 medals. They have 130 gold, 61 silver, and 40 bronze medals in their record.

The Azerbaijani team won 184 (33 gold, 56 silver, 95 bronze) medals in the Games.

Belarus "closed" the top three with 122 medals. The team won 32 gold, 38 silver, and 52 bronze medals.

The CIS Games have been held since 2021.

Idman.biz reports that the last winners of the competition will be determined.

Rhythmic gymnasts will compete in Shaki.

The closing ceremony of the tournament will take place at the Ganja city stadium at 19:00.
