The III CIS Games, held in Azerbaijan, continue. In addition to sports competitions, various events are organized for journalists from different countries who come to our country.
Idman.biz reports that employees of the Belarusian "First Information" TV channel visited the liberated lands of Azerbaijan within the framework of a media tour.
This was discussed on the country's local TV channel. The report notes that journalists from foreign countries first visited Shusha.
The next stop of the media tour was Khankendi and the "Khankendi stadium" there. It is here that archery competitions are held within the framework of the CIS Games. Belarusian athletes also participate in the competitions.
Sergey Pupkevich, coach-teacher of the National Center for Shooting Sports of Belarus, highly appreciated the organization:
"Considering the climate of Azerbaijan, the weather is not quite desirable, but overall everything is very good. The organization is no worse than the European Games held in Baku in 2015. Everything is at a high level".
The Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov, also answered journalists' questions during the media tour:
"I had the opportunity to talk to athletes from different delegations regarding the organization. There was a meeting before, where the Deputy Minister of Sports of Belarus and the Belarusian delegation also participated. We have not received any complaints so far. I hope that everything will continue successfully until the end of the games".
The Azerbaijani minister also touched upon Belarus's experience in the field of sports and noted that he had been to this country many times, but was unable to participate in the II CIS Games. However, he emphasized that he knew that the competitions were organized at a high level:
"I was at the European Games held in Belarus. The competitions were organized at a very high level. I wish the Belarusian people and athletes success".
The media tour gave Belarusian journalists the opportunity to get acquainted with the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, the organization of the CIS Games, and the progress of the competitions.
