A professional development program for regional coaches in judo was held in Gusar from April 27 to May 2, organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
The program was attended by 20 coaches from Siyazan, Shabran, Guba, Gusar, and Khachmaz districts.
Seminars were organized on the following topics within the training program:
– new refereeing rules;
– kumi-kata fights;
– developing tactics against different opponents;
– turnovers and transitions in osaekomi;
– technical execution of basic movements for physical training for young judokas;
– transitions from tachi-waza to ne-waza;
– developing endurance during shime-waza;
– judo values and judogi culture;
– psychological approach to young judokas;
– PR, media relations, and social media management.
Coaches who successfully passed the exam at the end of the program were awarded relevant certificates.
