The North-West Region Championship among junior judokas under 17 years old was held at the Shaki Olympic Sports Complex.
Idman.Biz reports that 76 judokas from 10 districts and cities tested their strength in 8 weight categories at the tournament.
The purpose of the competition was to form a base of junior judokas and to determine the athletes who will participate in the national championship based on quotas.
Also, the U-17 regional championship earned important ranking points for selection to the national team.
