A new judo hall has started operating in the village of Vandam, Gabala region. Sport24.az reports that the event was attended by Arifa Bayramova, head of the Gabala District Education Department, Rashad Rasulullu, Executive Vice President of the ACF, Elkhan Mammadov, world champion, member of the ACF Executive Committee, Fariz Najafov, President of the Gabala Sports Club, and local residents.
The total size of the hall, equipped with tatami mats that meet modern standards by the ACF, is 150 square meters. In addition, there are coaching and changing rooms. 150 athletes will be able to practice judo in the hall.
It should be noted that in 2022-2026, new judo halls were put into operation by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran and Mosul village of Zagatala. Also, a total of 14,000 tatami mats were distributed to 195 sports halls in Baku and regions.
