Azerbaijani judoka won a bronze medal at the Grand Prix tournament held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Sport24.az reports that Huseyn Allahyarov (60 kg) rose to the third step of the podium on the first day of the competition.
He defeated Italian representative Biaco D'Angelo by ippon in the match for the third place.
This was the first award of the 22-year-old tatami master in the World Judo Tour.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan participated in the competition with 15 judokas.
