Azerbaijani Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov, who won a gold medal at the Guadalajara Grand Prix held in Mexico, is confident that he will return to the top again.

"I feel great. It's like I started everything from scratch and it will continue from now on. This is not the first time I have lost my athletic form. Sometimes I suffer setbacks after success, but then I return to the top again. Even when I lost at the World Championship, I knew that I would return to the top again. There are ups and downs in professional sports - you are either at the top or at the bottom. Frankly, I am not too worried about the downturn. I am an Olympic, world and European champion and I am sure that I will come back again. All this criticism just motivates me - I love it," he said.
