The draw ceremony for the "Grand Slam" judo tournament was held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Idman.Biz reports that the first opponents of Azerbaijani representatives have been determined according to the results of the draw.
Azerbaijan will be represented by 11 judokas (6 men, 5 women) in 7 weight categories at the competition, which is included in the World Judo Tour. 295 athletes from 36 countries will compete in the tournament.
The qualifying stage of the Astana "Grand Slam", which will be held from May 8 to 10, will start at 10:00 a.m., and the final block will start at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of the competition.
