4 Azerbaijani judokas climbed the honorary podium on the first day of the European Cup among young people held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
"Report" reports with reference to the press service of the Judo Federation that Nihad Mamishov (60 kg) and Abil Yusubov (73 kg) won gold medals by defeating all their rivals.
Farid Garayev (60 kg) won a silver medal, and Mahammad Musayev (66 kg) won a bronze medal.
Azerbaijan, with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal, ranked second in the overall team standings.
It should be noted that 226 athletes from 26 countries participated in the tournament.
